Do I need a visa to travel to Argentina?

Information for international members traveling to Argentina

If your country is included among those that require a visa to enter Argentina, you must request a Congress visa. The procedure is personal and can be done through any Consular Representation of the Argentine Republic. To initiate the visa application process, you will require a letter of invitation from ICOMOS Argentina to send to the Argentine consular authority in your country.

To obtain such a letter, you must send us an email, writing to icomosargentina + visados@gmail.com, and provide us with the following details:

  • City and country where the Consulate to which you are applying for your visa is located
  • First name and surname
  • Type of passport and passport number
  • Phone number (mobile or landline)
  • Email address
  • Other relevant information
  • Reason for the trip
  • Dates of arrival and departure
  • Address of accomodation

 

The expenses generated for the sending of this invitation letter will be borne by the person requesting it. The cost includes the sending, certification by a Public Notary and the stamp of the Notaries Association.

If the letter has to be sent by postal mail, the mailing costs of the same will be paid by the person requesting it.
